Vieng was born in the South-East Asian country of Laos before she emigrated to Ontario, Canada as a refugee. She was raised and educated in Canada before she moved to China for work in her early twenties. In China, she worked as a teacher before becoming the President of GWIC (Guangzhou Women’s International Club), a group of 500+ expat women. During her time as the head of GWIC, she became involved with several charities, most notably GETCH, which aims at helping children with disabilities. During this time, she met her husband, had several children, and subsequently moved to Saskatoon, SK, where her husband is originally from. She is now ready to begin a new chapter in her life and she looks forward to the exciting new challenges and opportunities that lie ahead!
